Paint Correction & Machine Polishing in High Wycombe
Swirls, haze and light scratches can make even a clean car look dull. Our paint correction and machine polishing bring back clarity and gloss — carried out at your location within about 50 miles of High Wycombe.
What Is Paint Correction?
Paint correction is the careful removal of a very thin layer of clear coat to level out defects such as swirl marks and light scratches. Once the surface is level, light reflects evenly and the paint looks deeper and glossier.
It's very different from a "normal polish" or glaze, which often just fills and hides defects temporarily. Correction physically removes them where it's safe to do so, so the improvement lasts.
Machine Polishing
Machine polishing uses dual-action or rotary polishers with carefully chosen pads and compounds. It can be a single-stage enhancement to lift gloss, or a multi-stage process for paint that needs more correction.
What Can Be Improved?
Swirl Marks
Circular scratches often caused by poor washing.
Light Scratches
Surface scratches that haven't gone through the clear coat.
Oxidation & Dullness
Faded, flat-looking paint brought back to life.
Water Spots
Etching left behind by mineral deposits.
Results always depend on the paint's condition and how deep the defects are. We'll never promise that every mark can be removed — we'll tell you honestly what to expect.

Paint Correction FAQs
Will paint correction remove all scratches?
Not always. Swirls and light scratches can often be removed or greatly reduced, but deeper scratches that go through the clear coat can't be polished out safely. We'll assess your paint and explain what's realistic before starting.
How long does paint correction take?
Anything from several hours for a single-stage enhancement to a full day or more for a multi-stage correction, depending on the vehicle and paint condition.
Is machine polishing safe for my paint?
When done correctly, yes. We measure and work carefully, removing only as much material as necessary.
Should I protect the paint afterwards?
We'd recommend it. Freshly corrected paint is the ideal base for a ceramic coating or sealant to help preserve the finish.
